SLABBERS. Single and Twin.


Salem Slabber Systems are available in either single or twin units.

As standard equipment, the Slabber/ Canters are built around Key Knife solid chipping heads with split knives. The solid head configuration provides a higher quality chip and has cut circle diameters ranging from 20” to 36”. Other configurations are available on request.

Salem Slabber/ Canters can be built around chipping heads from other suppliers, at customer request, to match existing machinery.

Single Head Slabbers

Single Head Slabbers are typically used in headrig systems and are available with extended retract ability for use with double-cut headrigs and for log diameters up to 48”.

Twin Slabbers

The Twin Slabber is commonly used either with Gang Edgers or with small log breakdown systems.

For small log systems, the Slabber are available with 30⁰ inclined setting bases to accommodate log diameter variance.

When used with Gang Edgers, Twin Slabber/ Canters are available with “wiggle boxes” for use with linear scanning systems.
