Salem offers highly efficient AC Regenerative Electric Log Carriage Drives. Standard AC drive size offerings include nominal 200hp, 250hp, 300hp, 350hp, and 400hp. Customized drives of 150hp, 450hp, and 600hp AC drive are also available.

- Unique fail safe mechanical brake to stop carriage in a short distance in event of power outage or fault. More positive than braking through motor resistance.

Automation
Automation features include:
- Updated Automatic feed speed limits.
- New Automatic ‘return to hole’ positioning for loading and turning.
- Updated Automated features available to assist sawyer for feed speed control through sawing deviation monitor and also an automated return positioning for log loading or turning.
